I’m not your keeper, so I’m not going to be nice or pull punches here. If you are still on IG, on FB, on TikTok, or the like, you are the problem. Don’t pretend you’re making a difference online. You’re not. You’re making the tech billionaires, richer. And in turn, they are enslaving you, more.
My Top 15 Reasons to DELETE Your Social Media Accounts LIKE NOW.
1. Do you love the TOTAL loss of your privacy? Do you love data exploitation at your expense?
Social media platforms collect and monetize vast amounts of personal data, often without clear user consent, risking misuse and breaches.
2. Do you love the TOTAL manipulation and being psychologically targeted?
Algorithms use your data to manipulate your emotions and behavior, influencing what you see and how you think, as seen in political microtargeting scandals.
3. Do you really enjoy the stress and feeling a range of impacts on your mental health?
Excessive social media use is linked to anxiety, depression, loneliness, and low self-esteem due to constant comparison and exposure to negative content.
4. Are you super stoked about helping spread misinformation and robot posts?
Social media often amplifies false information and conspiracy theories, undermining public trust and informed decision-making. Robots have owned your ass, and you still don’t know how-to tell the difference.
5. Are you aware that you’re giving trust to untrustworthy platforms that have eroded healthy social structures?
Repeated privacy scandals and opaque content moderation have eroded trust in social media companies’ ability to protect users. You are scammed, continually. And you keep going back.
6. You are fucking addicted to being a pickme, and you are wasting your time on earth, and you look STOOPID to everyone.
Social media platforms are designed to be addictive, leading to excessive screen time that detracts from productivity and real-life relationships. You’re posting the dumbest shit, and you think it’s awesome. Way to go.
7. You are being exposed to endless cyberbullying and harassment, and you’re opening yourself up to offline violence.
Especially if you are a woman, you are setting yourself up for the BIG HURT. If you did not already feel it yet, MOST people being “social” online are experiencing DAILY online harassment and hate speech. You are watching your friends be bullied, and none of the fucking platforms adequately address it or protect anyone. And, you keep signing-up for this, because you need “online income”. Yeah, okay.
8. What’s up with your promotion of unrealistic social norms?
You play the same sound snippets, over and fucking over, and over. You look and sound insane. Your posts most often promote disgraceful pickme behaviors that are misogynistic and unrealistic. You are promoting fake beauty standards and lifestyles. You are negatively affecting self-image and expectations for yourself and others. What the fuck?
9. How about those hacks? Aren’t you tired of having to pay for “online security” services to patch all the “security vulnerabilities”?
Do you fucking love it or something? That your accounts - all of your online accounts - are constantly being hacked? Not only are you susceptible to hacking, phishing, and data leaks, but you are literally putting yourself and anyone appearing in photos with you, at-risk. Why do you go along with it?
10. Do you fucking LOVE the total LOSS of your image, autonomy and having any control?
Did you know that your likeness has already been stolen? The more you post your face and videos of yourself, the longer your materials will be used against you? Do you enjoy having such little control over how your name, face and data are used? Do you fucking LOVE how the algorithms shape your personality, your intelligence, and your friendship groups?
11. Don’t you see the negative impacts on relationships?
I have lost MANY friends to the insanity of the Tate Brothers, to the Joe Rogans, to the Kardashians, from T-Swift. How many fake social media relationships do you have? TONS. You are in denial, if you are not acknowledging how your posting and the posting of your “friends” is creating TOTAL confusion, major misunderstandings, and deep jealousies… for nothing? It is not a secret that social media is straining your personal relationships.
12. How about the total commercialization of your personal life? Why do you let everyone see your deepest addictions and emotional vulnerabilities?
Your posts SPEAK VOLUMES about your self-confidence, your personality type, and your weaknesses. Even if you are “being real” online, your very online presence has become a discounted version of reality. How many of your friends are now working to earn product placements? Why are you insist upon riding the tiny dick of advertisers who use you and make you look like a cuck? Why do you continue to spend your time online, instead of making authentic social interactions?
13. You must be proud of your environmental impact.
Guess why your electricity bill is so high? Yep, you’re part of the reason. Your data needs to live somewhere, so that your shitty posts can live forever. Do you not know that the data centers and infrastructure powering social media consume significant energy, contributing to environmental issues? Open your eyes.
14. Why are you helping to increase social divisions?
Where is all the diversity that you supposedly care about? Social media is an echo chamber that fills the internet with unconscious biases, and hatreds, and uneducated / unresearched opinions that do not fucking matter. Your terrible abilities to filter information is part of the reason why division is bubbling up in real life.
15. Offline is a better alternative to experience life and love.
We all want to live our lives, and to feel love. But when you are giving everyone online reasons to make fun of your fake lifestyle, and when they clown on you and openly dislike you, it affects how people offline view you. You are losing friends because of your posts online. Your addiction to being noticed online, and whatever you think that means, is preventing you from experiencing healthier, more meaningful ways to connect in real life. You are losing your skills to connect offline, and you’re the last to know.
